Minal Kode Ghassemieh was born and raised in Washington State. Minal received her B.A. from the University of Washington School of Business and J.D. from the Gonzaga University School of Law. She was recently admitted to the Washington State Bar and joined Preshaw & Zisman in Everett, Washington as an Associate.

Minal is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Snohomish County Bar Association (SCBA), Asian Bar Association of Washington (ABAW) and South Asian Bar Association of Washington (SABAW). Minal will also be doing pro-bono work for the Northwest Immigration Rights Project (NWIRP).

In law school Minal received the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and Research. She also received a scholarship from the ABAW for Service to the Asian Community. Minal has clerked for the King County Prosecutor’s Office, the Federal Defender’s Office and World Relief.

Minal is very active in the community and is advisor to the Indian Association of Western Washington Youth Board. She is also fluent in Hindi and Marathi. Minal lives in Edmonds with her husband.
